·         Occupational safety and health policy 

·         The employer, in consulting with employees and their
·         representatives, shall set out in writing an OSH policy, which shall be: 

a)      specific to the organization and appropriate to its size and the nature of its activities;
b)      concise, clearly written, dated and made effective by the signature or endorsement of the employer or the most senior accountable person in the organization;
c)       communicated and readily accessible to all persons at their workplace;
d)      reviewed for continuing suitability; and
e)      made available to interested parties, as appropriate

·         The OSH policy shall include, as a minimum, the following key principles and objectives to which the top management of  organization shall provide leadership and commitment in:

a)      protecting the safety and health of all members of the organization and others who may be affected by the work carried out.
b)      preventing work-related fatalities, disabilities, injuries, ill health, diseases, property and environmental damage and near misses;
c)       complying with relevant OSH national laws and regulations, and other requirements to which the organization subscribes;
d)      ensuring that employees and their representatives are consulted and encouraged to participate actively in all elements of the OSHMS; and
e)      continually improving the performance of the OSHMS

·         POLICY

a)      The first element of an ideal management system is policy. This element is the basis of the OSH management system and sets the direction for the organizing to follow.
b)      This is the starting point for establishing a system. Start by finding out regarding the OSH requirements that apply to your business.

Sistem Pengurusan OSH (OSHMS)

Hai apa kabar semua?

Rasanya tidak terlewat untuk kami mengucapkan selamat hari raya kepada semua umat islam yang menyambutnya. Raikan syawal ini dengan lebih bermakna.

Hari ini kami ingin berkongsikan berkenaan Standard Sistem Pengurusan Keselamatan dan Kesihatan Pekerjaan (OSH)

Seperti yang kita maklum. Standard merupakan satu kaedah untuk industri melaksanakan sesuatu perkara dengan piawaian yang tertentu dengan lebih tersusun dan bersistematik. Bagi perlaksanaan pengurusan keselamatan dan kesihatan pekerjaan di Malaysia, terdapat 2 standard yang biasa digunakan. Iaitu OHSAS 18001 dan MS 1722.




OHSAS 18001 merupakan standard yang banyak digunakan untuk mematuhi piawaian antarabangsa. Walaupun masih banyak lagi negara-negara di dunia tidak menggunakan piawaian tersebut, namun OHSAS 18001 ini masih relevan digunapakai sebagai piawai yang baik bagi sistem pengurusan OSH. Manakala MS1722 merupakan standard tempatan yang disediakan khusus bagi perlaksanaan piawaian di Malaysia. 











Pihak berkuasa tempatan melalui Jabatan Keselamatan dan Kesihatan Pekerjaan (DOSH) sentiasa mempromosikan penggunaaan standard MS1722 ini bagi kebanyakkan industri di Malaysia.
